Apply Castor Oil Nightly
A rich moisturizer that’s effective at softening skin while reducing fine lines, castor oil is an easy treatment that will take you no time at all. Just apply a drop under your eyes before heading to bed, using your index finger to spread the oil from your nose to your temple. Castor oil works wonders when it comes to keeping moisture locked in, especially overnight.
Use a Cucumber Puree
This one is no surprise, as cucumbers have been shown time and time again to help brighten up the eye area. However, we’ll do a twist on the classic method and puree the cucumber instead of using cucumber slices. This excellent source of hydration helps to treat existing wrinkling while preventing future ones from forming. Either blend or mash the cucumber with a fork before applying it under your eyes for 15 minutes. You can put the puree in the fridge beforehand to help tighten your skin and reduce pores as an added bonus.
Repurpose an Avocado
Avocados are filled with wrinkle-fighting properties, including carotenoids, which work as an antioxidant to remove free radicals. They also contain vitamins C and E which also aid in reducing fine lines. The monounsaturated fatty acids in an avocado help to moisturize and soften damaged skin. All you need to do is lay two slices (or mush it to create a paste) under your eyes for 15 minutes before rinsing with lukewarm water.
Moisturize with Warm Olive Oil
Olive oil doesn’t just add moisture to your skin, but it locks the moisture into the areas that need it most. It’s been used for centuries to keep skin looking youthful and bright. It also works to remove fine lines beneath your eyes. All you need to do is massage warm olive oil under your eyes for five minutes, leave it to sit for another ten before either washing it off or leaving it on for the rest of the day.
Nourish Skin with Ginger & Honey
Honey is a natural moisturizer that makes it a powerful enemy against wrinkles. Make it apart of your daily skincare routine, along with ginger. When applying the root directly to your skin, it not only increases blood flow, but ginger can also bring cleansing blood to the skin’s surface.
