DERMA BRIGHT CLINIC – SKIN CARE CHECKLIST
The following is a list of things you can do to achieve your best and brightest skin (in no particular order)!

1. Eat the right foods – vegetables/fruits, protein, & limit processed foods; eat organic where you can
2. Test yourself for food sensitivities and allergies
3. Take supplements – anti-oxidants esp. Vitamin C, fish oils, GLA oils (borage), collagen support
4. Drink adequate clean, filtered water – 6-8 glasses a day
5. Detoxify: Fasts, sauna treatments, massage, rebounder, lymphatic treatments
6. Exercise: to get blood flowing and to help move toxins out
7. Invest in a chemical-free sunscreen and use on your face daily
8. Get lots of vitamin D – supplements or from the sun on the rest of your body for 20 minutes
9. Use “clean” products – look out for synthetics, chemicals, preservatives, dyes/colours, fragrances
10. Make sure you are using the right products for your skin type and age; get a Skin Assessment
11. Stick with a skin care routine and use it every day, without fail
12. Exfoliate: daily or at least twice a week – at home and try Microdermabrasion once a month
13. Take time for self care – small luxuries, meditation, delegation, get a coach (life, business)
14. Wash your face twice a day and be gentle on your skin, no scrubbing!
15. Don’t sleep on your tummy or sides; causes wrinkles!
17. Test yourself for heavy metals – mercury and lead can lead to skin issues such as eczema
18. Breathe – make an effort to breathe deeply into your stomach; try yoga
19. Deal with your stress – talk it out, exercise, meditate, yoga, get a massage
21. Watch your alcohol intake; try and stick to just red wine which has benefits in moderation
22. Sleep – aim for at least 7-8 hours a day; your body repairs itself at night!
23. Test your hormones especially if you are in your 40’s or up
24. Get regular facials and peels; your texture will improve and helps keep pores small
25. Deal with any issues i.e. brown spots, rosacea, scars, etc. before they get worse
26. Use a day and an evening moisturizer (2 different ones)
27. Clean your cell phone – its germs get on your face!
28. Clean your make up implements on a regular basis i.e. brushes, cloths, etc
30. Use warm water for your showers rather than hot; too hot removes beneficial sebum oil.
